At approximately 97g complete, it has a satisfyingly weighty presence.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne exterior panel is finely engine-turned with a close linear pattern, framed by scrolling foliage and small flowers. At the centre sits a raised flower basket, detailed with a bow-tied handle, latticework basket and abundant blooms. The reverse is more lavishly engraved, with large stylised flowers, leaves and flowing foliage across a textured background.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInside, the compact retains its circular mirror and powder well. The interior is marked 900 for the silver fineness, alongside Germany’s crescent moon and crown national silver hallmark, the Halbmond und Reichskrone, used from 1888 onwards.
