The image is exceptionally detailed, with the female dancer wearing a pale white and green classical tutu and the male dancer dressed in white. The original Baron signature can be clearly seen at the lower edge of the image.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe rich blue finish remains wonderfully vibrant and glossy, making this an especially eye-catching example. There are some very fine surface marks visible under close inspection and strong light, together with age-related wear to the surrounding gold-tone metal, particularly around the rim and catch. Inside is a beautifully preserved mirror, gold-tone powder compartment and mesh sifter. The compact opens and closes correctly and the interior presents particularly well.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStratton’s Baron ballet compacts are among the company’s most distinctive mid-century designs and are increasingly sought after by both vintage compact and ballet collectors.
