An unusual vintage French powder compact in rich red celluloid, decorated with a figural scene strongly evocative of the Art Deco period.
Measuring approximately 7.5 cm, the vivid red case has a warmth and depth quite different from enamelled metal, while the pictorial decoration gives the compact considerably more character than a plain geometric design.
Inside, the compact retains its mirror and powder compartment.
