A vintage Stratton folding handbag comb commemorating the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2, complete with its original presentation box.
Made in England, the gold-tone outer case is decorated with radiating engine turning. Opening the case reveals the original brown tortoiseshell-effect comb, clearly marked “Stratton England”, while the inside is printed “RMS Queen Elizabeth 2.”
This makes the piece an interesting combination of Stratton vanity accessory and QE2 ocean-liner souvenir.
Condition is excellent and the comb appears unused. The teeth remain intact and clean and the gold-tone case retains a strong bright finish with only light handling marks. The original presentation box is included and displays well, although its clear plastic lid has some minor damage and there is light age-related storage wear.
Measurements: approximately 10.5 cm / 4.1 inches long when closed.
