A wonderfully glamorous vintage powder compact dating from around the 1950s, with a beautiful gold tone finish and sprays of sunny yellow flowers across the lid.
The square case has a lovely sunburst-effect brushed finish which catches the light beautifully, while the reverse is decorated with an intricate textured geometric pattern.
Opening the compact reveals a generous clear mirror and large powder well, complete with its original sifter. At approximately 7.5cm square, this is a particularly substantial and elegant example.
The compact is unbranded, although its style and construction are wonderfully reminiscent of quality British compacts of the period.
