A wonderful vintage Clover musical powder compact, featuring an unusual geometric mosaic of luminous mother of pearl set into the lid.
Measuring approximately 8.5 x 5.5cm, the rectangular gold-tone compact opens to reveal a large mirror and separate powder compartment with its original sifter and Clover branded powder puff.
The built-in musical movement is in full working order and plays clearly and well. The tune is currently unidentified.
The mother of pearl has beautiful natural flashes of pink, green and silver as it catches the light, making this an especially attractive and unusual musical vanity compact.
Presented in good vintage condition, with some age-related wear to the metalwork as shown in the photographs. The mirror remains clear and the musical mechanism operates correctly.
