An unbranded vintage powder compact in softly rounded gold-tone metal, measuring 7.5cm across. The lid is set with a white inset panel decorated with a central blue flower, green leaves and small pink blossoms, framed by a raised gold-tone border. The reverse has a closely spaced diagonal textured pattern.
The hinged lid opens to reveal a mirror and a white-lined powder well. There is no mesh sifter or puff present. It closes securely with a front thumb clasp. From its construction and design this compact is probably from the 1950s, although no maker's mark or date is visible.
