A vintage Kigu of London powder compact with an octagonal gold-tone case and glossy black enamel lid.
Measuring approximately 7.5 cm, the black enamel surrounds a central silver-tone decorative motif, with an engine-turned gold-tone border completing the lid. The reverse has a concentric circular engine-turned pattern.
Inside, it retains its original Kigu sifter and Kigu London powder puff, and the powder compartment appears unused.
The compact also comes with its original black protective pouch.
The enamel remains glossy and undamaged, with light marks to the gold-tone metal from storage. The principal condition point is the mirror, which has developed noticeable fogging.
A smart and particularly complete Kigu, with the black enamel providing a strong contrast to the mixed gold- and silver-tone decoration.
