A beautiful vintage Kigu “Minuette” musical powder compact, featuring the distinctive sculpted scalloped case with engraved floral and linear detailing in a rich gold-tone finish.
Inside is a large clear mirror, powder compartment with its original sifter, and Kigu’s integral musical mechanism. The mechanism winds correctly and plays beautifully; the tune has not been identified.
Measuring approximately 8.5 x 7 cm, this example is in excellent vintage condition with a particularly bright, well-preserved finish. The original sifter is present; the powder puff is missing.
A wonderful example of Kigu’s more unusual novelty compacts, combining an elegant powder compact with a miniature mechanical music box.
