Vintage Kotler & Kopit K and K Purple Enamel Powder Compact Art Deco Patent 1802796 7.5cm x 5cm

A beautiful vintage Kotler & Kopit (K & K) powder compact, made in the USA and dating to the late 1930s to early 1940s.

Measuring approximately 7.5 cm x 5 cm, this elegant Art Deco compact features a soft lilac-purple enamel lid framed by a bright gold-tone border. The understated yet sophisticated design is complemented by a finely engine-turned reverse, creating a timeless piece of American vanity history.

The interior is stamped Patent No. 1802796 – Made in U.S.A., confirming manufacture by the renowned American company Kotler & Kopit (K & K). It retains its original mirror, original powder puff and original powder sifter, making it a wonderfully complete example.

Presented in very good vintage condition, the compact opens and closes securely, and the inner powder well cover closes correctly. The enamel is beautifully preserved with only minor age-related discolouration and no obvious chips or cracks. The gold-tone finish remains bright with light signs of age and handling consistent with careful use. The mirror is clear, and the interior is clean and well presented.
