A pretty vintage folding handbag comb housed in a soft powder-blue enamel case decorated with delicate gold-tone stars.
The slim, gently curved case measures approximately 10 cm when closed and is finished with gold-tone edging. Inside is a tortoiseshell-effect plastic comb which folds neatly away within the protective case.
The comb opens and closes correctly with a smooth hinge action and the teeth remain intact.
Condition is good vintage overall. The blue enamel remains glossy and attractive, with light surface marks and small signs of age visible on close inspection. The gold-tone edging has gentle wear consistent with previous handling and use.
The piece itself is unmarked. Its construction and styling are consistent with Mascot folding combs of the period, but without a maker's mark the attribution cannot be confirmed.
