A beautiful vintage Mascot for Rococo musical powder compact, exquisitely decorated with a radiant mother of pearl inlaid lid surrounding a charming hand-finished floral petit point centre. Finished in polished gold-tone metal, this elegant compact is a wonderful example of British mid-century vanity design.

Presented in lovely vintage condition, the compact retains its original Rococo powder puff and original sifter. The mirror is bright and clear, and the interior is clean and well preserved.

The musical movement is in working order and plays when wound. It plays a little slowly and occasionally benefits from a gentle wiggle of the winder to start. As with many vintage musical mechanisms, this may improve with regular use, but it has not been serviced. The tune is unknown.
