This vintage Mascot powder compact has a particularly pretty design, with a colourful floral panel contained within a heart-shaped cartouche at the centre of its textured gold-tone lid.
The compact measures approximately 8 cm diameter, with an attractive engine-turned finish to the reverse.
Inside is a clear mirror together with the original Mascot-branded powder puff, and the compact also retains its original presentation box.
It is in excellent vintage condition with very little evidence of use. The floral decoration remains bright, the gold-tone finish presents beautifully and both hinge and clasp operate correctly. There is one tiny mark near the edge of the mirror.
The little heart of flowers gives this Mascot a lovely gift-like quality, while the surviving box and branded puff make it especially complete.
A sweet mid-century compact that has been remarkably well preserved.
