Made in Great Britain by Mascot, this beautiful three-piece set contains a two-tone engine-turned powder compact, matching lipstick holder and an especially lovely black and gold comb decorated with a castle motif.
Each piece sits neatly within its original patterned presentation box, just as the set would originally have been offered.
The compact has an unusual scalloped two-tone design and measures approximately 8 cm diameter, while the lipstick holder carries the same warm gold-tone finish.
All three pieces have survived remarkably well. The compact and lipstick holder remain bright and clean, the comb is intact and even the presentation box has been carefully preserved.
Together they conjure up that lovely mid-century ritual of getting ready — powder, lipstick and comb arranged beautifully rather than simply thrown into the bottom of a handbag.
