A slim vintage cigarette case with an unusual dark olive-black and cream reptile-effect covering, which extends across both outer panels and neatly around the spine. Softly rounded corners, a rectangular push clasp and the warm gold-tone metal interior give it a distinctly mid-century character.
Opening book-style, the case has two plain gold-tone panels and a wide golden elastic retaining band to one side, designed to hold cigarettes securely. Its shallow shape also lends itself rather well to use as a business card holder or small vanity accessory. It measures approximately 8.5 x 6.5 x 0.5 cm.
No maker’s mark has been identified. In good vintage condition, with light wear commensurate with age and previous use, including age-related wear to the interior finish and reptile-effect exterior. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
