A striking vintage Stratton cigarette case, made in England and featuring a rich cobalt-blue enamel panel decorated with a colourful spray of orchids.
The vivid blue enamel provides a beautiful background for the finely detailed flowers, while the softly scalloped gold-tone surround gives the case an elegant mid-century profile. The reverse has a textured gold-tone finish.
Opening the case reveals a clean gold-tone interior retaining its original spring retaining arm.
Condition is very good vintage overall. The cobalt enamel remains glossy and vibrant and the floral decoration presents beautifully. There are light signs of age and handling to the metalwork, as expected. The hinge and clasp operate correctly and the case closes securely.
