A pretty Stratton powder compact, likely dating from the 1970s, with a scalloped octagonal shape and a white floral lid printed in pink, red and yellow with green leaves and the wording “G-BREEZE”. Its gold-tone frame follows the shaped outline neatly, while the finely textured basketweave back carries the applied Stratton Made in England mark.
Measuring 8.5cm across, it has a clean mirror and powder well with retaining ring and mesh sifter. The compact is accompanied by a Stratton puff, pouch and spare sifter still in its packaging, together with a Stratton-branded box marked “Stratton matching handbag accessories”.
The compact is in excellent vintage condition, with a bright floral finish, clean mirror and well-preserved gold-tone metal. The puff’s foam backing has degraded, as commonly occurs with this material, and it is therefore best regarded as an accompanying vintage accessory.
