A classic vintage Stratton powder compact, made in England and featuring an attractive engine-turned gold-tone finish.
The lid is decorated with a finely worked radiating sunburst pattern centred around a polished cartouche engraved with the initials “A.H.” The personalised engraving gives the compact an individual piece of social history while retaining the understated appearance of Stratton’s traditional engine-turned designs.
Opening the compact reveals a bright gold-tone interior with its original mirror, powder well and sifter.
Condition is good vintage overall, with light signs of age and previous use to the metalwork. The engine-turned decoration remains crisp and attractive and the interior presents well. Please refer closely to the photographs for condition.
