Vintage Stratton Evening Bag Set: Art Deco Floral Vanity Case, England

Genuine mid‑century glamour, complete and beautifully kept.

This scarce Stratton vanity evening bag was Made in England and rarely survives with all original pieces together—bag, matching powder compact, cigarette case and amber‑tone comb.

Stratton produced these metal “vanity” handbags in small numbers; complete sets in wearable condition are increasingly hard to find.

The bag is crafted in gilt‑tone metal with a delicate cream and grey floral transfer and a striking Art Deco‑style handle and clasp.

Inside, a blush satin interior stamped Stratton holds the coordinated compact (with mirror, mesh sifter and Stratton puff), cigarette case and fitted comb.

Exceptional for age and use. No dents. Light, honest surface scratches and small areas of rub/thinning to the lacquered floral transfer, mainly on the back panel and some edges—photographed in strong light for accuracy.

Gilt trim and handle show gentle, even wear. Interior satin is clean with minor marks; pockets and elastic sound. Compact mirror bright; mesh sifter and Stratton‑branded puff present.

Comb complete with all teeth. Hardware and clasps work smoothly.

Care
Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive polishes on transfer areas and keep the comb away from heat.
