A classic vintage Stratton powder compact with a delicate floral design set against cream and framed by a softly scalloped gold-tone case.
Measuring approximately 8.5 cm diameter, it is a generously sized Stratton. The pale ground allows the floral decoration to stand out clearly, while the shaped edge gives the case a much prettier profile than a conventional round compact.
Inside are the original mirror and powder compartment.
There are marks and some rubbing to the finish from previous handling, but the floral decoration remains attractive and the compact retains its original fittings.
This is Stratton very much in its traditional mode — flowers, cream and warm gold — the sort of feminine mid-century design that made their powder compacts instantly recognisable.
