Vintage Stratton Handbag Notebook – Butterfly & Floral Design with Original Pen

Before every telephone number, appointment and little reminder lived inside a mobile phone, they were written down — and Stratton made even that ordinary ritual beautiful.

This vintage Made in England handbag notebook is decorated with colourful flowers and a delicate butterfly, framed in warm gold tone. The reverse carries Stratton’s familiar textured finish and maker’s mark.

Open it and the original refillable notepad remains inside, with its fitted Stratton pen tucked neatly alongside.

There is light surface marking from previous handling, but the floral and butterfly decoration remains beautifully bright and the original pen is still present.

Replacement notepads and Schmidt mini refills remain available, so this needn’t become an object that can only be admired.

There is something rather lovely about the idea of putting it back into use — new notes and appointments being written into a little Stratton that has already spent decades carrying somebody else’s.
