Vintage Stratton Indian Jewel Folding Comb with Gilt Floral Case

The Indian Jewel decoration is what makes this little Stratton comb so nice: a cream ground covered in fine gilt scrolling flowers, picked out with tiny red, blue and turquoise-coloured accents around a central roundel. It has a wonderfully detailed look for such a small vanity piece.

The folding comb sits neatly inside its shaped gilt case and opens to reveal a translucent deep red comb. Closed, it measures approximately 10.5cm long, making it a lovely small addition to a Stratton collection or a practical piece for a handbag.

There is some wear to the gilt finish on the reverse, as shown, and one tooth is missing from the comb. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
