A vintage Stratton Lip-View, dating from approximately the mid to late 1950s, with burgundy and white enamel decoration.
Measuring approximately 6 cm, the gold-tone case has a burgundy and white enamelled top with a small central floral detail.
The Lip-View was designed around a lift-up mirror and lipstick holder, allowing the mirror to stand upright while lipstick was applied. The base is marked Stratton England and carries its registered design number.
This example retains its original Stratton box and original price sticker.
The enamel remains in very good condition, the mirror is clear and the folding mechanism works correctly. The box has some light wear from age and storage.
An especially nice surviving Lip-View because its original retail packaging — right down to the price sticker — is still with it.
