Vintage Stratton Lip View Compact Mirror Holder With Box Black Enamel Vase Design 1950s Powder Compact Accessory

Elegant vintage Stratton Lip View compact mirror accessory complete with its original presentation box and instruction leaflet. Finished in glossy black enamel with a delicate stylised vase and floral design to the front in gold and lilac tones, this is a particularly striking and very collectable mid-century Stratton piece.

The Lip View was designed to clip onto a lipstick tube, creating a handy handbag mirror for quick touch-ups while out for the evening. Stratton produced these clever vanity accessories in Birmingham, England during the 1950s and 1960s, and boxed examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

The reverse opens to reveal a bright clear mirror with the original Stratton mechanism inside. The gold tone finish remains beautifully bright and reflective, and the original box and paperwork make this a lovely display piece for collectors of vintage British vanity accessories.
