A delightful Stratton Lip View lipstick holder with a wonderfully elegant oval case, finished in deep navy blue and decorated with three sweeping feather-like arcs in teal, turquoise and smoky blue. The glossy coloured panel is framed by warm gilt-toned metal, giving this pretty little vanity accessory a particularly smart mid-century character.
Inside is a mirror and Stratton’s ingenious fold-out gilt-metal lipstick holder, shown raised in the photographs. The mechanism is marked “Stratton, Made in England”, while the lipstick holder itself is embossed Stratton. Measures approximately 6.5 cm across.
It is in excellent vintage condition, with a bright mirror, strong colour to the blue decoration and an attractive gilt finish. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
