An unusual vintage personal ashtray by Stratton, featuring a charming illustration of an early veteran motor car against a cream background.
The small gold-tone case measures approximately 4cm across and has a softly shaped outline. It opens to reveal its original internal hinged snuffer mechanism, allowing ash and cigarette remnants to be contained securely inside when closed.
The reverse is clearly marked Stratton, Made in England.
This is a well-used vintage piece with visible scratches, tarnishing and wear to the gold-tone finish. The illustrated panel has surface marks and discolouration, while the interior shows signs of previous use, including marks, tarnishing and areas of verdigris. The lid and internal mechanism remain operational.
