A wonderfully evocative vintage Stratton compact with a fabulous seaside scene that feels like a tiny souvenir from a glamorous summer holiday.
The lid depicts an elegant lady, dressed in striking red and white stripes against a soft grey background. There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about it – sun-drenched promenades, striped deckchairs and elegant days spent beside the sea.
The colourful design is framed in polished gold tone, with the reverse carrying Stratton’s classic finely textured finish and signature mark.
Inside is the original mirror and powder compartment, with the interior fittings shown in the photographs. There are some signs of age and previous use, including light marks and wear, but the wonderful seaside design remains bright and incredibly charming.
