The glossy black lid is what makes this Stratton stand out, with a graceful coloured bird beneath raised gilt foliage and berries. It has a lovely contrast against the bright gold-tone surround, while the woven-texture reverse gives it a smart finish in the hand.
This is a round English Stratton powder compact measuring 7.5cm across. Inside is a clear mirror, powder well and pink Stratton puff, with the original paper insert still present. The inner mirror frame retains its "Made in Hand Engraved England" label, and the compact comes in its Stratton "Exclusive Accessories" presentation box.
Unused and in excellent vintage condition, with a bright, clean interior and well-preserved exterior decoration. The box has light age and storage marking. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
