A beautiful vintage Stratton powder compact finished in an eye-catching scarlet red enamel with intricate gilt scrollwork and colourful floral decoration. This larger Stratton convertible powder compact has a wonderfully glamorous feel, with the rich jewel-toned enamel catching the light beautifully against the warm gold-tone casing.

Made in England by Stratton, one of Britain’s best-loved powder compact makers, this piece dates to approximately the late 1950s to early 1960s and reflects the elegant styling of the era perfectly. The ornate floral design and vibrant colours give it a distinctly luxurious vintage vanity aesthetic — the sort of piece that instantly evokes old dressing tables, evening handbags and classic British glamour.

The compact opens well and retains its original fittings including the powder tray insert and instruction disc. The mirror does have age-related fogging and spotting around the edges, which is very common in vintage powder compacts of this age and has been reflected in the price. The exterior enamel remains particularly vibrant and displays beautifully.
