A pretty vintage Stratton powder compact, made in England and decorated with a delicate pink rose design.
The soft ivory-toned lid features sprays of pink roses and foliage, framed by the classic gold-tone Stratton case. The reverse is finished with engine-turned decoration, giving the compact a lovely contrast between its romantic floral front and traditional patterned metalwork.
Inside is the original mirror together with the powder well, sifter and powder puff.
Condition is good vintage overall. There is a small mark to the decorated lid, clearly shown in the photographs, together with light age-related wear to the gold-tone finish. The mirror remains clear and the hinge and clasp operate correctly.
Measurements: approximately 7.5 cm / 2.95 inches diameter.
A lovely traditional Stratton design, particularly appealing for its soft rose decoration and surviving original interior fittings.
