Vintage Stratton Powder Compact, Silver Tone Engine Turned, Made in England

A superb vintage Stratton powder compact in elegant silver tone with a beautifully engine-turned lid and a classic blank cartouche panel, ready for engraving if desired. This is a particularly fine example, complete with its original Stratton puff, sifter and protective pouch, and appears unused.

The lid features crisp vertical engine turning framed by softly scalloped edges, with a rectangular blank cartouche to one corner that may be personalised or left clean for a sleek, tailored look. The reverse continues the refined textured finish and is stamped “Made in England”.

Inside, the mirror is bright and clear, and the original Stratton sifter and branded pink puff remain in place. The interior is exceptionally clean with no visible powder residue, supporting that it has not been used. The original pouch is also included.

Dating to the late 1950s to early 1960s, this piece reflects Stratton’s shift toward polished metallic finishes and structured forms that complemented the sophisticated vanity cases of the era.

The compact measures approximately 7cm x 7cm (2.76 x 2.76 inches). A beautifully preserved collector’s example – complete, unused and ready for display or gifting.
