A striking 1970s Stratton powder compact, beautifully finished in silver tone with a finely textured exterior and an eye-catching circular appliqué to the lid. Its raised black panel is adorned with an interlocking white enamel petal design, picked out with clear rhinestones to create a crisp, glamorous monochrome effect.
The reverse bears the Stratton script within a central cartouche against a woven-style textured ground. Inside, the fitted mirror is accompanied by Stratton’s distinctive inner powder cover, decorated with a diagonal line-and-star pattern and central Stratton cartouche. The lower powder well retains its mesh sifter, and this lovely compact is supplied with its white Stratton-branded powder puff and quilted Stratton pouch. It measures approximately 7cm across.
In very good vintage condition, with minor marks consistent with age and use. The enamel and rhinestone appliqué remain complete, and the interior components, puff and pouch are present. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
