Vintage Stratton Slimline Powder Compact, Gold Diagonal Engine Turn, Star Base

A beautifully made mid-century Stratton slimline loose powder compact dating to the 1950s–early 1960s, identifiable by the “Compact-in-Hand” logo to the inner lid and the repeating star engine-turned base pattern, both consistent with Stratton production of this era.

Measuring approximately 7 cm in diameter (2.75 inches), this elegant compact features a refined gold-tone lid with a distinctive diagonal banded engine-turned design. The base carries the characteristic scattered star motif seen on mid-century Stratton examples.

The interior retains its original mirror and loose powder well with sifter. The mirror is clear, and the compact opens and closes securely.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. The exterior retains a bright gold finish with only light age-related surface marks visible on close inspection. The interior is clean, and the hinge and clasp function as they should. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
