The beautifully detailed artwork depicts an elegantly dressed Empire-period couple and is taken from Renaudin’s celebrated series illustrating the fashions of France through the ages. The artwork retains the artist’s printed signature, adding to its collectable appeal.
Measuring approximately 7.5cm in diameter, the compact is finished with Stratton’s distinctive engine-turned gilt reverse and comes with a pouch. Inside, it retains its mirror, original sifter and original Stratton puff. The compact opens and closes securely and remains beautifully presented.
