A wonderful vintage novelty powder compact designed in the form of a miniature suitcase and dating from approximately the 1950s.
The case is finished with rich green enamel panels and contrasting gold-tone metalwork. Raised luggage straps, corner fittings and a tiny carrying handle recreate the appearance of a period travel case in miniature.
Opening the case reveals an engine-turned interior with its fitted mirror and powder compartment. The compact is unbranded and no maker's mark is visible.
Condition is good vintage overall, with genuine age-related wear from previous use. There are surface marks and areas of rubbing to both the green enamel and gold-tone finish, together with light cosmetic wear internally. The mirror remains present and usable and the compact is structurally sound. Please refer closely to the photographs for condition.
