Rather than being purely ornamental royal memorabilia, this was made as a fully functional Stratton powder compact, combining the commemorative decoration with the company’s familiar British compact construction.
The gold-tone and blue enamel case opens to reveal the mirror, powder compartment and powder puff.
This example is particularly appealing because it remains boxed and unused, preserving it much as it would originally have been sold in 1981.
