A striking vintage powder compact by Vogue Vanities, England, dating to the late 1940s.

The lid features the distinctive “Persian Legend” design — a richly detailed repeating scene of figures and dragons set amongst stylised foliage, full of movement and character. An unusual and decorative piece that captures the glamour and escapism of the era.

Crafted in gilt brass with a satisfying weight, the compact opens to reveal a clean interior with mirror and powder well present.

There is a small imperfection to the mirror, shown in the photographs. Otherwise, the compact presents beautifully with a clear, vibrant design.
