What makes this one nice is that it is far more than a compact. The Zell Fifth Avenue Money Mind-Her is a wonderfully practical 1950s carry-all, combining a jewelled powder compact with organised space for coins, notes and lipstick. Its jeweller's bronze-coloured case has a raised silver-tone scrollwork plaque set with clear and blue stones and faux pearls, with a slim chain handle for carrying it like a miniature evening case.
Inside is the powder compartment with mirror and its original Zell Fifth Avenue puff, alongside the coin organiser and bill section. The separate cylindrical lipstick holder remains with the case too. It comes with its original Zell presentation box and the original Money Mind-Her instruction tissue, which identifies it as a Zell Companion Products Corp. design from Norwalk, Connecticut, made for carrying coins, bills and vanity essentials together. Measures approximately 8.3 x 5.7 x 2.5 cm (3.25 x 2.25 x 1 inches).
In good vintage condition, with light age-related surface marks and wear to the metal finish, as shown. The mirror, fittings, puff, lipstick holder, box and original instruction paper are all present. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
