A beautifully unusual Kigu cigarette case in an elegant barrel form, its gently curved exterior richly decorated with a mosaic of pale mother-of-pearl plaques. Set within a warm gold-tone frame, the neat rectangular panels create a striking geometric surface, shimmering in soft shades of cream, blush pink, green and blue as the light catches the natural shell.
The finely ribbed gold-tone metal to the reverse, ends and hinged edges gives the piece a particularly polished, architectural character, contrasting handsomely with the iridescent mosaic front. Opening through the centre, the case reveals two curved gold-tone compartments and is stamped KIGU at the inner hinge. It measures approximately 7.5 x 3 cm and is accompanied by a black protective pouch.
