Stratton No.1 Combination Compact with Lipstick Holder – Vintage 1950s Loose Powder Compact

A vintage Stratton “Number One” combination compact, made in England circa 1950s to early 1960s. This desirable model was designed for loose face powder and includes the original integrated lipstick holder, making it one of Stratton’s most practical and collectable mid-century designs.

The lid features an Oriental-inspired dragon and figure motif on a soft gold background, reflecting the chinoiserie influence popular during the period. The reverse is finished in a textured gold-tone scroll pattern. Inside you’ll find the original mirror, powder well with sifter frame, internal lid, and Stratton branding.

Condition is very good vintage with only very minor age-related wear. The mirror is clear, the gold tone remains rich, and the exterior design is bright and crisp. A beautifully preserved example at approximately 60–70 years old.
