Vintage 1920s Richard Hudnut Art Deco Silver Tone Domed Powder Compact – Original Orange Silk Puff

A beautiful early Richard Hudnut powder compact dating to the 1920s/early 1930s, with a wonderfully domed profile and intricate engine-turned decoration.

The silver-tone case features concentric geometric detailing surrounded by an elegant wave pattern, giving it a distinctly Art Deco appearance. The edge is marked “Richard Hudnut New York Paris – Made in U.S.A.”

Opening to reveal the original mirror and powder compartment, it retains its gorgeous orange silk powder puff with decorative woven edging – a particularly lovely period detail.

Measuring approximately 6cm across, this is a petite yet beautifully substantial little compact thanks to its deeply domed construction.

In good vintage condition with age-related surface wear, tarnishing and marks to the interior and mirror, all consistent with its considerable age. Please see photographs for full condition.
