The bright turquoise-blue enamel and small raised floral rhinestone motif give this compact its real character. It has an Art Deco-style look, with a clean circular shape, silver-tone edging and a nicely detailed central appliqué rather than an all-over pattern.
Measuring 8.5cm across, it opens to a good-sized mirror and powder well. The original mesh sifter is still present, which is a welcome detail on an unbranded compact of this type.
There is some wear to the reverse, including areas of enamel loss, along with general age-related marks to the metalwork. The front retains a good strong colour and the floral decoration remains securely in place. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
