A crisp sunray lid and raised marcasite flower give this substantial Flamingo London compact real presence. The gold-tone round case has a finely radiating engine-turned finish, with the sparkling floral detail set neatly at its centre.
Measuring 9.5 cm across, it is a satisfying larger size for the hand. Inside is a clear mirror and a powder well retaining its original mesh sifter and marked Flamingo London puff; the original pouch is also included. The inner rim is marked Made in England.
It is in excellent vintage condition overall. There is one tiny dent to the reverse, mentioned for clarity, but it does not detract from the appearance or use of the compact. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
