A beautiful vintage Kigu barrel case, decorated with tiny golden roses scattered across a rich midnight blue ground.
The curved front is covered with trailing flowers and leaves in warm shades of yellow, amber and green, framed by gold-tone metal. The reverse has a finely textured gold-tone finish, giving the case a completely different look when turned over.
It opens along the central hinge to reveal the original gold-tone interior.
Originally made as a small handbag case for cigarettes or lipstick, today it makes a rather lovely little case for lipstick, jewellery or other tiny treasures.
Size: approximately 7.5cm long x 3cm deep.
Condition: Good vintage condition with plenty of character from age and use. There is surface scratching and some rubbing to the floral decoration, together with wear to the gold-tone edges. The interior has scratches and marks from previous use. Please see all photographs for condition.
