A wonderful vintage Kigu handbag comb with a beautifully nostalgic waterfowl scene.
The black case is decorated with ducks amongst tall reeds and bulrushes, while three further birds fly across the dark background. The touches of blue, green, russet and cream really stand out against the black and give the little scene an almost painted quality.
A tortoiseshell-effect comb lifts out from the case, finished with a gold-tone metal reverse.
Measuring approximately 10.5cm long when closed, it is a lovely example of the decorative vanity accessories once tucked into a handbag or dressing case.
Condition: This is a well-loved vintage piece and does show its age, with surface scratches, rubbing and wear to the case and gold-tone metalwork. The decorative scene remains wonderfully clear and the comb appears complete. Please see the photographs, which show the condition in detail.
