A charming Kigu miniature powder compact, beautifully petite at just 5.5cm in diameter and presented with a Kigu of London box. Its softly scalloped round case has warm gold-tone sides and a striking black lid, richly decorated with roses, small blue flowers and leafy foliage in vivid shades of red, pink, cream and green.
The finely textured gold-tone reverse provides a lovely contrast to the colourful floral design. Inside is a circular mirror and a powder well fitted with its white mesh sifter, together with two soft pink powder puffs, each printed in gold with ‘Kigu of London’. The accompanying Kigu-branded box is finished with gold script and stars, making this an especially appealing little vanity collectible.
The compact is in excellent vintage condition, with the floral decoration, gold-tone finish, mirror, hinge, clasp, mesh sifter and Kigu-marked puffs all well preserved. The box has light wear to its edges and corners. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
