The bold fan-shaped case is the real feature here, with stepped scalloped edges and alternating polished and satin-finished panels radiating across the gold-tone front. This is an American Kotler & Kopit (K&K) powder compact from the 1930s, with a strong geometric Art Deco design that feels quite different from the usual round compact.
It retains its original K&K powder puff, printed with the reclining-lady logo, along with the inner powder-well cover and clear mirror. The powder compartment appears clean, and the compact is supplied in its original fitted presentation box with the original pouch present.
Very good vintage condition overall. The gold-tone finish remains bright, with light surface scratches and fine hairlines to the front that are most noticeable where the polished panels catch the light. The interior is particularly well preserved and the mirror is clear. The original outer box is worn, with considerable age-related marks and surface loss.
