The lid is what makes this one – a wonderfully detailed patchwork of traditional Japanese-inspired fan panels, picked out with butterflies, floral motifs and repeating wave patterns in contrasting silver-tone finishes. It has plenty to look at without feeling fussy, and the plain brushed-metal reverse gives it a nice contrast.
This round Pink Lady powder compact measures approximately 7.5cm across. It has a clear mirror inside, along with its branded Pink Lady puff, mesh sifter and the surviving Japanese paper insert. The original branded Pink Lady presentation case is included too, with its satin-lined fitted interior.
An unused, boxed example, with the interior fittings and puff looking very fresh. The compact, mirror and decorative lid present beautifully, while the presentation case has only very light age-related handling marks. Please refer to the photographs, which form part of the condition description.
