A striking vintage Stratton pill box featuring a black top with a simple gold striped design reminiscent of the Art Deco era.
The round gold-tone case measures approximately 4.5cm in diameter and is marked Stratton, Made in England, on the reverse. It opens to reveal a white interior and retains its original medication information label inside the lid, which has a previous owner’s handwritten notation.
This is a well-used vintage piece with numerous surface scratches to the black panel, together with marks, tarnishing and wear to the surrounding gold-tone finish. The white interior also has age-related marks and discolouration. The hinge and clasp function as intended.
Despite its wear, it remains an attractive and characterful Stratton design with a smart, understated appearance.
