Vintage Stratton Erika Signed Enamel Cigarette Case, Cobalt Guilloché Cyclamen, 1950s–60s English Vanity

A mid-century enamel cigarette case by Stratton (England), featuring a deep cobalt blue guilloché ground with hand-painted pink cyclamen and green leaves. The enamel panel is signed “ERIKA” to the lower right.

Erika was one of the enamel decorators whose signed floral designs appear on Stratton pieces during the 1950s and 1960s. Her work is most often associated with botanical subjects on richly coloured guilloché grounds, and signed examples are sought after by collectors of Stratton enamel.

The translucent enamel sits over an engine-turned ground, creating depth and movement as it catches the light. The reverse is finished in finely textured gilt metal with a scalloped edge profile typical of Stratton cases of the period.

Interior:
Fitted with its original spring-loaded metal retaining arm and clip. The hinge is firm and the clasp closes securely.

Mid-20th century, circa late 1950s to early 1960s.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear consistent with age and use. Gentle handling marks to the gilt metal. Enamel presents well. Interior clean, mechanism intact.
